Privacy Policy
Maderobe is a mobile application that lets users catalog their clothes and generate outfits. This policy describes how the app handles personal information. In short: Maderobe collects no personal data and shares nothing with third parties.
1. Data collected
Maderobe does not send any data to the Internet. All information you enter (clothing photos, descriptions, brands, sizes, notes, wear statistics) is stored only on your phone, inside the app's private storage.
We do not collect names, email addresses, advertising identifiers, location, payment information, or health data.
2. Permissions requested
- Camera — only to take a photo of a clothing item when you add it to your wardrobe. No photo is ever sent off-device.
- Photo library — only to import an existing photo from your gallery when you add an item. No image is read without your explicit action.
3. Photo storage
Photos you take or import are copied into the app's private folder on your phone. They are not accessible to other apps and are never uploaded.
4. Cookies, trackers and analytics
Maderobe uses no cookies, no behavioral analytics (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.), and no advertising SDK.
5. Sharing with third parties
No data is shared with any third party, unless you explicitly use the "Share" feature of a clothing item toward an external app (Vinted, Leboncoin, Messages, etc.). In that case, only the information you choose to share is transmitted to the target app. Maderobe never receives any data back from these apps.
6. Retention and deletion
Your data stays on your phone for as long as you use the app. If you uninstall Maderobe, all data (photos, items, outfits) is automatically removed by iOS. You can also use the "Reset" function in the app's Settings to clear everything without uninstalling.
7. Your rights
In compliance with the GDPR, you have rights to access, rectify, erase and port your data. Since all data stays on your phone and is never transmitted, you exercise these rights de facto through the app itself: viewing, editing, deleting, and exporting JSON via the "Export my wardrobe" feature in Settings.
8. Changes
Any update to this policy will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If a change ever broadens data collection or sharing, it will be announced explicitly in the app.
